The player index is the backbone of long-term progress in Build A Soccer Squad. Every card you pull is logged permanently, and finishing a full team collection is what unlocks 99 OVR captains — some of the strongest cards in the game. What the index tracks
Build A Soccer Squad has 1,000+ footballers spanning 1970 to today. The index records every player you have ever pulled, organized by squad and era. You do not need to collect every card in the game — progress works one team at a time.

How to complete a team in the index
1. Pick one 2026 squad
Choose the team you already own the most players for. Audit your collection before spending anything — the closer you are, the cheaper the captain.
2. Redeem codes first
Before rolling, redeem FUTURE, UNIVERSE, CONSOLE, LIMITBREAKER, and DOUBLE on the codes page for 170 Rerolls and 160 Refreshes total. During the live 2X Rewards event, quest payouts are doubled too.
3. Start 8-hour quests
The console update added 8-hour quest timers that passively reward Rerolls and Refreshes. Start them before a rolling session — details in the quests guide.
4. Use Refreshes on the Hourly Shop
The Hourly Shop rotates 100+ OVR Prime players every cycle. Spend Refreshes when the rotation includes cards your target squad still needs, rather than buying random high-OVR players.
5. Roll until the squad is complete
Use Rerolls to fill remaining gaps. Keep every card that belongs to your target team — do not reroll away progress you have already made. When the final player enters your index, the 99 OVR captain unlocks automatically.
How to know a team is complete
When the last missing player lands in your index, the game confirms the collection and delivers that team’s 99 OVR captain. The captain appears in your cards and can slot into your active squad immediately.
If the captain does not appear:
- One player is still missing — double-check every slot in the Rewards tab.
- You spread currency across teams — no single squad reached 100%.
- Wrong squad type — only eligible 2026 squads grant standard captains; 2002 teams grant Premium Captains instead.
Speed tips for index grinding

- Buy gaps from the Coin Shop on the left side of the lobby instead of gambling on random rolls.

Once a captain is unlocked and your squad clears 93 OVR, Cup Mode opens. Five cup wins grant 105+ OVR Cup Players, which feed into Limitbreaker cards above the normal ceiling.
