Build A Soccer Squad Quests & AFK Farming Guide

How quests work in Build A Soccer Squad: AFK farming, 2-hour timers, reroll and refresh rewards, and how to unlock rare player variants through quest completion.

Last updated:

Quests are one of the best free-income systems in Build A Soccer Squad. They hand out coins, Rerolls, and Refreshes while you play - or even while you AFK. During the live 2X Rewards event, every quest payout is doubled — stack that with 8-hour timers from the console patch for maximum passive income.

Where to find quests

In the main lobby hub, look for the red button on the right side of the screen. Tap it to open your quest list. If you are new, finish the introductory tutorial first - some menus stay locked until you do.

For a full map of the lobby layout, see the controls and interface guide.

What quests reward

Most quests pay a mix of:

  • Coins - spend in the daily shop or on targeted squad cards.
  • Rerolls - replace individual players in your draft pool.
  • Refreshes - generate an entirely new draft pool.

Completing a quest tied to a specific player also unlocks that footballer as a rare rolled variant in future sessions. That makes quests double value: income plus permanent collection progress.

Stack quest rewards with active codesFUTURE, UNIVERSE, CONSOLE, LIMITBREAKER, and DOUBLE — for an even bigger boost during the 2X event.

8-hour quests (console update)

The console patch added 8-hour quest timers alongside the existing 2-hour objectives. These longer quests pay Rerolls and Refreshes passively and are ideal for overnight or workday AFK:

  1. Open the quest list and start every 8-hour timer available.
  2. Enable Auto Reveal so rolls continue smoothly while timers run.
  3. Collect rewards when timers finish, then immediately restart for another cycle.

During the 2X Rewards event, 8-hour quest payouts are doubled — making this the best time to run them back-to-back.

AFK farming: the 2-hour loop

Many quests are play-time objectives - often up to two hours per cycle. They complete automatically while the game is running, which means you can farm passively:

  1. Open the quest list and note which timers are running.
  2. Leave the game open on PC or mobile. The session tracks time in the background.
  3. After roughly two hours, leave and rejoin the experience. Quests reset when you exit, so rejoining starts a fresh farming cycle.
  4. Collect rewards and repeat.

Community guides estimate a full AFK cycle can return around 83,000 coins worth of combined rewards when you chain every available quest - though your exact total depends on which objectives are active that day.

AFK tips

  • Rejoin on a schedule. Set a two-hour timer so you never waste idle time after quests finish.
  • Claim dailies first. Grab daily shop rewards before starting an AFK session.
  • Redeem codes before rolling. Extra Rerolls and Refreshes from codes multiply what quests already gave you.
  • Avoid the inactivity kick. Roblox can disconnect idle sessions after extended inactivity. Occasional input or a short interaction keeps the session alive on some devices.
  • Finish quests before Cup Mode. Entering a tournament moves you to a different server and resets quest progress. Collect rewards or wait for timers to finish before joining a cup.

Quest types to prioritize

Not every quest is equal. Focus on:

  1. Player unlock quests - permanent rare variants for your roll pool.
  2. Long play-time quests - best AFK value per session.
  3. Squad-completion quests - advance your captain target while earning fuel.
  4. Breakout / Limitbreaker quests - new with the latest update; chase Limitbreaker cards here first. See the Breakout rewards guide for set completion tips.

Skip quests that ask you to spend currency on random rolls unless the reward clearly beats the cost.

How quests fit your daily routine

A strong free-player loop looks like this:

  1. Log in and claim daily shop rewards.
  2. Redeem any active codes.
  3. Open quests and start timers.
  4. AFK or play actively until timers complete.
  5. Spend earned Rerolls and Refreshes toward one 2026 squad.
  6. Rejoin after two hours and repeat.

Pair this with the coins guide and reroll guide so nothing goes to waste.

Limitbreaker quests (new)

The official July 2026 update added 10 new Limitbreaker cards, Breakout card rewards, and expanded quest content. These cards sit above the normal OVR ceiling - higher than even Cup Players. We track the full breakdown on the Limitbreaker players page and summarize every patch in the updates hub.

Quests are not optional for serious progress. Run the AFK loop, redeem every code, and funnel the rewards into one squad at a time - that is how free players keep pace in a fast-moving beta.
