Pelé and Maradona (legend lane)
The Legends update put 99 Pelé (1970 Brazil) and 99 Maradona (1986 Argentina) in the premium history pack: 5,000 coins, three cards, Epic-or-higher. Free path: Day 7 login streak token.
The Legend Teams pass (349 Robux) unlocks those historic squads so you can roll and buy without waiting on shop rotation. Completing the squad still follows normal Premium Captain rules.
If you only want one icon, Pelé is the Brazil chemistry anchor; Maradona is the Argentina one. Do not open Legends Packs while a 2026 captain is one card away — finish the captain first.
R9 and 2002 icons
The 2002 World Cup Teams pass (149 Robux) is the cheap historic unlock. Headline cards include 99 R9 and Italy’s 2002 defensive core. Same rule: the pass unlocks the teams; the captain still wants a complete index.
F2P: wait for daily shop / coin shop rotation instead of Robux.
Messi, Muller, and GB / SB labels
Community 100+ OVR squads often show GB Messi, GB Modric, SB Muller, SB R9. Those prefixes are variant tiers, not a separate Messi DLC. Chase them through Breakout sets, Limitbreaker-era adds (3 GB + 2 SB in July 2026), and live rolls with Odds open.
Do not buy a “Messi pack” from a YouTube comment. It does not exist.
GOAT Edition vs named icons
The GOAT XI patch did not print Pelé, Messi, or Ronaldo on the Roblox page. It printed Best XI, GOAT Edition, and Code: GOAT. Some outlets say All Time XI — same team.
Until your client shows a named GOAT Edition card, treat icon hunting and GOAT hunting as two wallets:
- Icons you can name today → Legends Pack, 2002 / Legend passes, GB/SB, shops.
- GOAT Edition → Best XI + GOAT 50+50.
