Limitbreaker Cards in Build A Soccer Squad

Everything about Limitbreaker cards in Build A Soccer Squad: how they exceed normal OVR caps, Breakout rewards, the LIMITBREAKER code, and how to chase the strongest cards.

Last updated:

Limitbreaker cards are the newest top tier in Build A Soccer Squad. They sit above the normal OVR ceiling - stronger than Prime players, captains, and even Cup Players. The July 2026 update made them live with new quest chains, Breakout rewards, and a matching LIMITBREAKER code.

What shipped in the Limitbreaker update

According to the official Roblox experience page, the latest patch added:

  • 10 new Limitbreaker cards that exceed current overall thresholds.
  • Breakout card rewards - new sets to complete for elite payouts.
  • 3 new GB (goalkeeper) cards and 2 new SB (substitute/bench) cards.
  • Code: LIMITBREAKER - 25 Rerolls and 25 Refreshes (redeem on the codes page).

The later console update expanded the pool with 3 more Limitbreaker cards: Beckham, Maldini, and Courtois. Deep dive: Beckham / Maldini / Courtois.

The 2030 Future Stars update added three additional Limitbreaker cards on top of that and made the Odds menu trick the standard way to catch hits during bulk rolls. Chase priority: Limitbreaker tier list.

Full patch context lives in the updates hub.

How to get Limitbreaker cards

Limitbreaker Card Quests

Quest chains tied to the update are the main path. Open the red quest button on the right side of the lobby and prioritize Breakout and Limitbreaker objectives. Our quests and AFK guide explains how to farm reroll fuel while timers run.

Breakout reward sets

The update introduced Breakout card rewards - collection sets with high-end payouts. Track progress in the Rewards tab on the right side of the screen, the same place you monitor captain completion.

How Breakout sets work:

  1. Open the Rewards tab after each session to see active Breakout objectives.
  2. Each set lists specific cards or milestones to complete — often tied to the new GB and SB position cards.
  3. Finishing a Breakout set unlocks elite card rewards that sit between Cup Players and standard Limitbreaker drops.
  4. Stack Breakout progress with Limitbreaker Card Quests so you earn reroll fuel while objectives tick forward.
  5. Redeem LIMITBREAKER from the codes page before grinding a Breakout set — the extra rerolls speed up card acquisition.

Breakout sets rotate with patches, so check the updates hub after every game update for new objectives.

Cup Mode and squad strength

You still need a strong linked squad to fund the grind. Hit 93 OVR for Cup Mode, finish captain collections, and use chemistry to keep your rating climbing while you hunt Limitbreakers.

Codes and quest fuel

Redeem LIMITBREAKER and DOUBLE from the codes page before a heavy rolling session. Both codes grant Rerolls and Refreshes - the exact resources Limitbreaker progression demands.

Preparation checklist

  1. 93+ OVR squad - unlock Cup Mode and compete consistently.
  2. One completed or near-complete captain - linked players raise your ceiling.
  3. Quest loop running - AFK farm Rerolls and Refreshes every two hours.
  4. Codes redeemed - LIMITBREAKER plus any still-active event codes.
  5. Breakout sets tracked - check the Rewards tab after every session.

Console Limitbreakers: Beckham, Maldini, Courtois

After the original ten shipped, the console support patch added three named Limitbreaker chase cards:

CardNotes
BeckhamAttack / midfield Limitbreaker from the console wave
MaldiniDefensive Limitbreaker for high-OVR back lines
CourtoisGoalkeeper Limitbreaker upgrade path

They are not console-exclusive — every platform shares the pool. See Beckham / Maldini / Courtois for chase steps, and redeem CONSOLE (25 Rerolls + 15 Refreshes) alongside LIMITBREAKER before long sessions.

What comes after Limitbreaker

The developers previously teased Limitbreaker Card Quests and simulated 1v1 ranked mode. Squad rating will matter even more when those land. We track the roadmap on the release date page and the July 2026 roundup.

Limitbreaker cards are the endgame chase right now. Stock rerolls through quests and codes, complete Breakout sets, and keep your chemistry tight - that is the fastest route to the strongest cards in the game.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are Limitbreaker cards?

Limitbreaker cards exceed the normal overall rating ceiling in Build A Soccer Squad. July 2026 added an initial wave of 10, the console update added Beckham / Maldini / Courtois, and 2030 Future Stars added three more to the live pool.

How do you get Limitbreaker cards?

Through Limitbreaker Card Quests, Breakout reward sets, Cup Mode progression, and live rolls — use the Odds menu while rolling so you do not miss a hit. Redeem FUTURE and LIMITBREAKER for reroll fuel.

Are Limitbreaker cards stronger than Cup Players?

Yes. Cup Players start at 105+ OVR, but Limitbreaker cards push past the usual thresholds entirely - they are the current top tier.

Is there a code for the Limitbreaker update?

Yes. LIMITBREAKER grants 25 Rerolls and 25 Refreshes. The newer FUTURE code (50+50) from 2030 Future Stars is also excellent Limitbreaker fuel.
