Build A Soccer Squad Players Database

With over 1,000 footballers spanning 1970 to today, the Build A Soccer Squad collection is huge - and knowing how it is organized is the first step to building efficiently. This database guide explains how players are categorized, how to find the ones you want, and which cards deserve your currency first.

How the collection is structured

Every card in the game is a footballer with an OVR rating, a position, and links (nation and league) that drive chemistry. Players come from across eras - historical legends from the 1970s through to today’s biggest stars - and are grouped into teams, including 2026 squads and premium Legend teams.

Cards reach your collection through four routes:

• Packs (rolls) - random pulls from the cards you have unlocked.
• The daily shop - rotating team and player offers.
• The hourly shop - around 20 100+ OVR Prime players.
• Quests - completing a quest unlocks that player as a rare rolled variant and now also grants Rerolls and Refreshes.

Finding a specific player

Because the pool is so large, finding one footballer takes a little strategy:

1. Check the shops first. The daily and hourly shops are the most direct way to acquire a known player.
2. Look for quests. If a quest is tied to the player you want, completing it unlocks them.
3. Roll within the right team. Many cards are pulled from the teams you have unlocked, so owning the relevant squad improves your odds.
4. Track your collection. Use the in-game collection screen to see exactly which players you still need for a squad.

The most valuable cards

Some cards are worth far more than their rarity suggests. Prioritize in this order:

1. Limitbreaker cards - exceed normal OVR ceilings, including console additions Beckham, Maldini, and Courtois. See Limitbreaker cards and console Limitbreakers.
2. GB & SB variants - special high-tier card versions (e.g. GB Messi, SB Muller) that spike 100+ OVR squads. See GB & SB cards.
3. 105+ OVR Cup Players - win 5 cups in Cup Mode. See Cup Players.
4. 99 OVR captains & Premium 2002 captains - earned by completing squads. See captains.
5. 100+ OVR Prime players - from the hourly shop. See Prime players.

Build around your collection

The smartest players do not chase every card - they build around what they already own. Audit your collection, find the squad you are closest to completing, and funnel currency there to unlock a captain. Fill the gaps with high-OVR cards that keep your chemistry intact.
